Metalflex PTFE hoses:

Available either as loose PTFE hose, or as completed PTFE hose assemblies, our Ultraline series combines an excellent resistance to chemicals with an impressive temperature range, and a non-stick easy to clean nature. Restricting our range to three different types of hose: Smoothbore, Convoluted, and Metline, keeps things nice and simple for our customers while our ability to offer these hoses as natural PTFE or anti-static PTFE and combine them with a wide variety of outer braids and protective covers makes our Ultraline series incredibly versatile and perfect for practically any application except in very rare circumstances.

Under suitable application conditions, Metalflex PTFE can be used as a hose liner at temperatures from -150˚C up to +260˚C, dependent upon the hose design and the application conditions. Giving it a far greater temperature range than any other rubber or plastic hose material.

Resistance to chemicals:

Polytetrafluoroethylene, commonly known as PTFE, is widely acknowledged to be one of the most chemically resistant materials known. Very few things are capable of affecting our PTFE hoses and these are Fluorine gas, boiling alkali metals, Chlorine Trifluoride and Oxygen Difluoride.

This impressive chemical resistance makes our hoses suitable for a wider variety of chemicals than any other hose type, perfect for almost any application or industry including uses such as steam, paints, inks, adhesives, fuels, oils, detergents, and refrigerants. Metalflex PTFE is also the ideal solution for the transferring of pure water or aggressive and hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures and movement, food handling, instances in which hygiene is of paramount importance and multi-product applications.

Non-Stick Surface:

Thanks to the natural non-stick nature of PTFE, the residue will not stick to it, making PTFE hoses far easier to clean than any other type. Our Ultraline Smoothbore and Ultraline Metline also have completely smooth inners. Their lack of internal convolutions provides an improved flow capability and removes the chance of build up inside these hoses, reducing the chance of contamination or bacterial growth.

Ultraline Convoluted SS Grades – The MWP listed above should be reduced by 1% for each 1 degC above 130 degc up to a maximum of 230 degC. (1% for each 1.8 degF above 266 degF up to a maximum of 445 degF)
